Family History & Insight
My grandfather's hands would shake randomly, he said he ate sugar to calm that down, I believe he told me it was because of diabetes
My father(recently passed) had 3 strokes and suffered seizures
My mother has multiple sclerosis and suffered a stroke many years ago
I have chronic back pain near the point of my tremors
I was diagnosed with carpal tunnel 5 to 7 years ago, slight case, I was given a splint for it on my left hand
There’s a strain on the left side of my neck following the the base of my skull it hurts in this area when tilt my head far right. It has been tender for a long time, I remember having my nerves checked at a department store. The operator used a machine on my neck and told me that it read my nerves were troubled, maybe compromised, that I needed to give them medical attention. I never followed through with it, I was very young and healthy and thought it was a scam.
On my first day at my latest job, I drank coffee in the office with my new coworkers. I experienced a high that was so intense I had to run laps around the premise to reduce the effect while worrying if my coworkers will think I'm a drug addict.
No matter what I experience and how scary it is I will leave it to exercise to tell me exactly how well I'm doing. If I pass a day's session showing myself capable of proper physical exertion then I'm doing well. Also, exercise shows me that I do have effort and will at my disposable. All of this is important to me when dealing with stress and medical complications. Strength takes many forms and the ability to hope after hope is crushed is one of them
One thing about disease is that it teaches us how to mind our own needs regardless of who is around and watching. Peer pressure sooner or later becomes outdated for us. Disease also teaches us to care for others better as well as ourselves. I wouldn't have written this document to share if I didn't learn this well that people suffer.
God arms us with what we need when we need it. We can’t know everything at once, I can’t imagine that being healthy.
